Faculty of Languages – 2017 Student Seminar on “Improving Vietnamese Workers’ Productivity”
In contribution to the wave of “scientific research for students” to enhance AOF’s training performance and to meet increasing demand of an integrating economy of Vietnam. AOF’s Faculty of Languages held an annual student seminar on “Improving Vietnamese Workers’ Productivity”. The event took place at Conference Hall 700, 14h00, May 26th 2017 to encourage scientific research activities among the AOF’s students.

At the beginning, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy Trang – Vice Dean of Languages Faculty gave her opening speech emphasizing importance of “workers’ productivity” not only for Vietnam but also in other countries. She also expressed her expectation of a fruitful seminar in terms of updating experience, answering raised questions and encouraging student passion in scientific research.

The seminar consisted of three main sessions:

The first session focused on the topic “Factors affecting Vietnamese workers’ productivity” with presentations conducted by students Nguyen Thi Lan & Tran Thi Tam of CQ52/51.02. The presentations were presented in English clarifying key factors of workers’ productivity and then discussion was conducted among attended students of the related problems and issues.

Particularly, presentations received intensive attention and discussion not only among lecturers, guests but also students.

Audience questioned the authors

The second session focused on the topic “The current situation of Vietnamese workers’ productivity”. Through comprehensive studies conducted by a group of students: Bui Khanh Linh, Nguyen Thi Uyen and Vu Quynh Nhi from CQ53/51.04 brought a new look at the practical situation of Vietnamese workers’ capacity in Vietnam’s economy. In-depth analysis with real figures made the presentation a thorough investigation of the issue in question.

After determination of features, factors and practices the session concluded with “Solutions to improve labour productivity of Vietnam” by means of collecting sharing point of views of the attendees.

Particularly, this year seminar had invited authors from Corporate Finance and Accounting Faculties: Nguyen Huu Hung – CQ53/11.07 and Nguyen Thi Hong Anh – CQ53/21/12. They contributed presentations recorded in the seminar proceeding.

There were important awards such as: The Best Presentation; The Best Presenter; The Best Class in Scientific Research Activity.
