Research on financial policy
- Research and propose the scientific foundation of economic, financial service of the policy of Ministry of Finance.
- Coordinate to build and participation critical financial policies of the unit in the Ministry of Finance.
Scientific Research
- Study of theoretical issues of the economic, fiscal and financial systems
- Perform tasks of scientific research in the forms regularly assigned as planned, direct delivery, delivery according to the method of selection, tendering.
- Implement programs, schemes, projects, programs, financial device at the request of the authorities, under contract from organizations and individuals domestic and foreign workers.
Provide economic and financial consulting services
- Organize transfer and application of on–demand scientific research outputs.
- Organize scientific information, socialization, projects, programs and publish professional economic and financial publications.
- Implement economic and financial advisory services for individuals and institutions at home and abroad.
Training
- Training courses of finance and economic for graduate students
- Organize training and improve the management skills for financial staff at the central and local levels on the basis of socialization of research projects of the Institute.
- Participate in the orientation of the structure of majors and specialities of the Academy of Finance.
- Participate in training and retraining classes according to orders.
- Participate in compiling documents for training and retraining at the request of training institutions, according to orders of organizations and individuals.
International Cooperation
- Cooperate with international and regional institutions in accordance with international laws for scientific research and application of scientific results in economics and finance.
- Organize international conference, meeting, seminars regarding financial issues.
- Cooperate with local and global bodies to conduct joint-projects in financial sector.
Other duties

Managing the organization's structure, staff, employees, and labors of the Institute and manage the assigned finance, assets and funds in accordance with the provisions of law and decentralize the management of the Academy of Finance.

Make reports on the research institute's activities according to regulations.
